19th July - 1st August: Photographic display in Burton Library

themed on Gardens for 'Burton in Bloom'.  + 'Magic Lantern' paraphernalia.

 

24th - 26th July: Rosliston Forestry Centre - Opens @ 10:00am

local villages/scenes/ sportspeople and a local artist.

 

12th September: Miners Gala Day – 10am to 4pm – entrance free

A parade is planned from Memorial Square to Snibston at 10:30.

 

Horticultural Show Local History Group Displays                    

Mining Memorabilia    Brass Bands     Craft Activities for Children      Train Rides    Colliery Tours    Ferret Racing

  

The Magic Attic will be in attendance with a photographic display- some old records and publications.
